1 Fatty Acids
After reviewing the research literature, scientists have been able to demonstrate a possible effect of low levels of Omega 3 Fatty acids as a cause of anxiety and depression; conversely, taking Omega 3 fatty acids in supplement form may have some benefit as a natural treatment for depression. This result should be treated with caution, as there is only one study that shows this effect, and even then, with only 75 participants. Yet, this research forms part of the body of data showing that some natural dietary components can affect mood.
